Along the way where we explore about Digital Construction, it is not difficult to identify that internet connectivity is crucial. As Glodon take the initiatives to study near to 50 construction sites and cooperates in their digital journey, we found that internet connectivity is inevitable.
We've prepared some data to further explain the phenomenon. Based on the Malaysia national findings on the usage of Information Communication Technology, it is identified that the usage of internet in 2015 is 61.5%, while 2017 is 73.3%, and 2019 is 85.2%; whereas mobile access to internet connectivity was 28.5% in 2015, 37% in 2017, and climb up to 70.8% in 2019. Especially with the mobile devices accessing internet connectivity made a huge leap.
Data is collected prior to the impact of pandemic. Whereas researcher identified that there is a significant shift to demand for internet connectivity and digitization since the impact of coronavirus. As social distancing and remote workplaces are the main practices during the pandemic, internet connectivity became inevitable. More individuals, households, offices are moving rather quick to tap on internet connectivity to cope with the environmental restrictions.
